Fulton County Farmers’ Market Receives Community Support Grant
The Fulton County Farmers Market is excited to announce that we have received a Community Support Grant from the Northern Indiana Community Foundation. This funding will help strengthen the market’s visibility and expand opportunities for local growers, bakers, artisans, and small businesses while creating an even more welcoming experience for the Rochester community.
For years, the Fulton County Farmers Market has provided a space where residents and visitors can connect directly with local producers and makers. From fresh produce and homemade foods to handcrafted goods, the market supports small businesses while offering the community access to locally made and locally grown products.
With support from the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, the market will launch a new marketing and visibility initiative designed to increase public awareness and attract new visitors. The project will introduce several improvements that make the market easier to find, more engaging to attend, and more supportive of local vendors.
A branded canopy tent will serve as a central information area during market events, helping visitors easily recognize the market space and learn about vendors and upcoming events. A feather flag and directional yard signs will help guide visitors to the market location and improve visibility throughout the community.
The grant will also support printed flyers and local advertising through community newspapers and radio, helping ensure more residents know when and where the market takes place. Additionally, reusable cotton tote bags featuring the market logo will be distributed to shoppers, encouraging sustainable shopping while continuing to promote the market as they are used around town.
Beyond marketing, the project will help create a more lively and welcoming market atmosphere. Local musicians will perform live during market hours, adding energy and entertainment while supporting local artists. The market will also obtain a county permit that allows food trucks to participate, providing visitors with more food options and supporting local food entrepreneurs.
Together, these efforts will help the Fulton County Farmers Market grow as a vibrant community gathering place that celebrates local agriculture, small businesses, and creative makers.
We are incredibly grateful to the Northern Indiana Community Foundation for investing in our community and helping the market continue to grow. Their support will make a lasting impact by helping connect more people with the farmers, bakers, artisans, and entrepreneurs who make our market special.
We look forward to welcoming both new and returning visitors this season as we continue building a stronger local marketplace for Fulton County this season as we continue building a stronger local marketplace for Fulton County.
